Really well done, memorable lines, great acting. Peter Falk as the grandfather is the icing on the cake It was exciting! The film was an action packed war movie. It was an unexpected event and the US declared war after it. Being a Navy vet, I enjoy these types of movies So many iconic moments... life is like a box of chocolates.... shrimp scene Funny, memorable, great music, iconic lines that come up over and over again It's a heartwarming and thought provoking movie. Each person has a purpose and a plan in God's perfect will. Every life that was given is a gift from God that should be valued Prison escapes are interesting to me and it’s just great to see Andy Dufresne, the main character evolve as the movie goes on from the “new guy” at the prison to the well known , most important inmate It’s a tie, the rollercoaster of emotions and the cast Never gets old, never disappoints, sucks me into its world every time. It’s both deep in layers and entertaining at surface level Actors It’s about a musician who reluctantly becomes a music teacher only to find it’s his true calling and passion DeNiro and Grodin are brilliant together. Film has prefect combination of action and comedy and great supporting characters Tiny dancer scene Everything Bette Davis Love the black and white to color, the music and songs, the story line and message of the movie Um Julie Andrews is in the movie The cgi is da best and fighting monster is cool score, and the storyline is fun. I love the parallel stories where both main characters are out of their comfort zones, but end up finding exactly what they need It’s just a great movie, so old but still relevant and heartwarming and funny loved all but last scene best Love Reese Patrick Swayze, loved the sensual dancing Shows the effects of teamwork Sir Anthony Hopkins Romantic The pond scene, ending, story line Main character makes me happy Everything is perfect Score, acting, story, scenery Funny, emotional. Laid the groundwork for many romcoms to come Music It speaks truth Comfort movie and nostalgia reasons and the music <3 foreshadowing I love the music the writing is perfect Jim Carrey! Loved the storyline line centered on redemption. Albeit demonstrated in extreme ways. Also loved The Wolf It’s the best rom-com. Humor, emotion, conflict. Based on a Shakespearean tragedy, giving the storyline depth Music Vibe, music, and the dream sequences The chemistry in the cast, the storyline, Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors, the scenery in Seattle, Meg Ryan is great in it Vibe, dancing, romance One of the things I love about this movie because all of the music is an original score by Queen. I love the scene when Flash Gordon changes his clothes and the lady with an accent says “Don’t worry, I won’t look” Meanwhile, she is staring at him changing It’s a Christmas movie The scene where as Godzilla is attacking the city, you not only see buildings being destroyed, but how the people are also affected from his attacks during and afterwards , where the environment just seems like a sandbox or a demolition arena in most Kaiju movies I absolutely love the soundtrack, costuming and overall aesthetic of this film Literally everything, the score is beautiful and just the over all vibes and atmosphere. The movie has a quite calm that I love. I don’t get tired watching it and use it as a personal re-set. The cinematography is also great. It’s my go-to airplane movie Happy Ending - she got the guy in the end! actors I like the character relationships. I think they're very realistic and sweet. I just love grumpy old people and seeing them show their care in subtle ways. Carl and Ellie's relationship was so sweet and the montage of their lives together made me cry. I watched a video essay on it before and there were so many details that were just so well thought out and made so much sense It’s really funny It's got it all. It grabs you from the very first scene and doesn't let you go for 2.5 exhilarating hours Everything Magical when I was a child One of the first movies I saw as an adult The quality of the acting, particularly from Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino Family is what you make not what you are born into Music Romantic comedy, it makes me happy Love the two main characters depth (played by Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman), great plot line, so moving, very nuanced so u can watch it over and over! The movie has so many things that draw you in… the cast, the prison setting, the set back in time, the brutal aspects of prison, the friendships that are formed, and times you pause and you think about an aspect around prison life and being paroled and trying to settle back into society. The humor helped you get past the hard scenes. The ending is the best. Back in 1994 it was under the radar because it was the same year of Forrest Gump and Pulp Fiction. It came out of no where and was nominated for many Academy Awards in 1995 Dope battle scenes, incredible soundtrack, great vibes Favorite book growing up and love the actors in it I love the sentiment, the setting, the characters, the music. This is the perfect film It’s very lively and memorable. I never fail to smile and laugh any time I watch that movie
It is a true story I love sharks and it’s iconic Female main character saves the world. Didn't get to see that very often. Love the futuristic aspect of it The portrayal of PTSD and the vibe that having trouble adjusting is common It’s Interesting and could theoretically be true. Matt Damon is an awesome actor. I laughed, I cried, I hoped in this movie Every character, every actor, every bit of dialogue is perfection Love that time period, the romance, the story itself, the sound track, the acting, the heartache, and the story within a story Everyone has a purpose. Life is precious. I love the ending when the bell rings Harrison ford is one of my favorite actors Coming of age with amazing narrating by author Jean Shepard that also brings up fond memories of growing up. Plus it’s hilarious Scorsese is known for movies dealing in crime but this is his best picture yet that deals with crime. All the characters in the story are real people and he isn’t kind to them. Over the course of the Picture we see the mob life in this light that is overwhelming glorified. The mobsters get cool clothes and are respected by everybody in the neighborhood. By the end of the picture Henry Hill is a mess and he is resented by his family. By the end of the movie we realize that only the main characters glorify the life of a criminal Scorsese shows us the life through their eyes and we learn along with them. I really love everything about this film but this is specifically why I fell it love with it Story line. Actors. Love story This movie is my favorite as I adore the storyline. It's just funny and upbeat. I love the twin interaction I love the music It shows somebody coming from the bottom and making it to the top with little to no experience just a lot of drive Robin Williams Love the mother-daughter relationship The music is great. And it’s a fun look into what growing up in the 70s was like Micheal Giacchino’s score is amazing, it’s a wonderful story about artistry and where you belong, and it’s amazing just in general The music and Whoopi Goldberg Loved Frances mcdormand's character The plot of the movie is one built up for many years across multiple other movies. They also have phenomenal actors and characters. My favorite part is the villain, Thanos, played by Josh Brolin. He is quite an interesting character mainly because he is more than just a “bad guy” with his morals I liked the storyline being about an abandoned boy who is a genius. My favorite scene is when the psychiatrist (played by Robin Williams) makes a breakthrough with Wil (played Matt Damon) so he can go on with his life. Matt Damon was my favorite actor in this movie Underdog gets girl and music is great I’m a Blake lively fan. I happened upon it and love the history woven into the story. Such grace, elegance, timelessness. Respect, manners, communication and love are the forefront very simply the expectation of life. This is sorely missing from this generation I love mysteries and romance and thrillers, and this had it all. plus there is a twist at the end Eddie Murphy is my favorite comedian, the movie is funny Literally can pick it up anywhere in the movie and be sucked in Baseball, genre An incredible story of a falsely imprisoned man who’s integrity rings through in an environment where integrity is not synonymous with inmates. A story of self worth and hope and optimism when it seems as though there is no hope. Brilliantly written, produced, and directed. Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins as well as the rest of the cast are perfection Actors. Music. Storytelling It has humor, love, empathy, and drama all together. I also played softball as a child and so I liked the women’s sports aspect as well The scene of Jo and Laurie on the hill is beautifully shot and choreographed, the score adds a perfect layer underneath the acting, the actors are my dream ensemble cast, I love the switch between color palettes for the past and present timelines, and the way that the girls are always speaking over each is beautifully written. And Jo’s monologue about women and love I have many favorites but this has the biggest emotional impact for me. Just one last chance to have a catch with Dad… Story, music and the magic of the story Funny! It’s has it all- adventure, romance comedy and a giant! Great story+ John Williams music! Fabulous singing, minimal sets and costumes highlight the emotional pain of the characters
Acting, chemistry of characters and the flashbacks It is a feel good movie and the quirky comedy prevents its from being too cheesy Ahead of its time It’s funny and I love Robin Williams Adam Sandler The story, the actors, the emotions it evoked art style and sound design - all very calming and fantastical Jack Black’s singing Great music and dancing. Simple love story. Just a fun movie!! I love every aspect of the film ranging from plot, scenic design I love how it goes from modern times back to the 20’s and brings so many of the vibrant characters of that time to life. It’s so well cast, it’s funny, romantic, and just a thought provoking movie The fashion, the camp-ness, the satirical aspect, the actors, and the entire soundtrack are almost as through they’re curated to my exact interests. To me it’s the perfect film Hilarious, John Belushi I loved all the songs and the story! Tom Cruise’s “I See America Drinking” speech it’s my comfort movie i relate to the main character, i love christian bale, and it’s just a big part of my childhood love story It makes you think It had beautiful color variation, is genuinely scary, and has a female protagonist Beautiful, timeless holiday story. Great casting. Love the NY locations and classic NYC references Richard Gere and Julia Roberts; hopeless romantic storylineAction , love story , historical, suspense, comedyA little of everything and a great score The lead character, The Dude and his off beat lifestyle. He is surrounded by an eclectic group of oddballs and the writing and situations are hilarious. The Coen brothers are brilliant and this is their best work The depiction of hope through hopelessnes Love history and this movie just had it all, and great acting Reese Witherspoon…movie just makes me smile Ripples in a pond. Shows how one person can impact others lives without even knowing it reasoning. Also, (spoiler), having the villain actually win was such a breath of fresh air The history, even though it's partly made up The movie began a journey of movies with adventure, amazing effects that were so sophisticated for the times, and outstanding music track and lovable characters Writing, layers, metaphor it's in italian but the story line in incredible When Kathleen Kelly steps out of her NYC brownstone to the music of the Cranberries, “Dreams”. The music paired with the colors of Fall all around feel familiar and cozy and I love it even more so now because it reminds me of a simpler time I love action movies and a specific scene captured everybody attention It still makes me laugh every time I watch it. From start to finish, everything in it is perfection Story + character development, unlikely friendship, unexpected plot Based off a video game around during my childhood Good actors, good plot, good script Story and music Love Tom Cruise and the music The final scene where they meet up I love that it goes from black and white to color in the beginning, bringing the movie to life-specifically ruby slippers are so beautiful. My favorite scene and is when the scarecrow meets Dorothy and sings “if I only had a brain”. He is also my favorite character This movie has it all…sports…inspiring story and based on real life…funny….historical significance….a ton of up and coming talent on screen …amazing soundtrack A heartwarming story of a downtrodden James Stewart in love with Donna Reed with dreams of travel and adventure. Throughout his life has always been there helping others but now feels hopeless and on verge of suicide until his guardian Angel Clarence appears who proves the importance of his life was to others through different periods of time I love Julie Roberts as an actress Visually stunning Vivienne Leigh and Clark Gable It was a down to earth movie that anyone can commiserate with It's very difficult to choose a favorite movie because I've watched so many over the course of my life, and I've watched them all at different stages of my life as well. The reason I chose Past Lives is because I feel that I can relate to it the most at this point in my life. It's raw, quiet, and actually painful. The film really makes you empathize with the characters and feel the heartache and emotion they experience. I am also often drawn to a specific style of cinematogaphy which Past Lives exhibits really beautifully. There's a strong use of symmetry throughout the film, and they using a lot of interesting ways of framing the composition. It feels like you're watching a story unfold from afar, almost like when you see glimpses of people in their kitchen or living room in the evening when it's dark out and their windows are lit up.The score is also really well composed and adds a lot of the emotional feeling you experience. It's very moving and melancholic. It feels a little like your world is falling a part and you're just trying to survive I loved River Phoenix and I like the era of the movie. I loved the message and how the movie was told Funny. Great cast Death Star scene It provoks deep thought I really like the story of this movie, and the Chinese dubbing was really catch me Love the music 80s music and 80s backdrop Only movie that has explored what true love is! It’s one of the best examples of story telling in a movie. Each scene builds itself perfectly on the previous scene.Robert Shaw’s Quint is one of the best characters on film. This movie redefined the medium. It changed the way movies were consumed Acting, clever plot, scenery I saw this in the theater in 1953 at 10 years old. I fell in love with Maureen O'Hara and this movie. I am working on my 4th copy of this movie. First a taped version from my Tv set, then a VHS, then a DVD, and now a restored newer DVD. I must watch this movie at least twice a year, obviously one time being around St. Paddy's Day ! True story of someone who had great courage The music, the story, everything about! I love romcom's and Will Smith movies actors The score is beautiful, the animation is otherworldly and I love how they animated the Punk Spider-Man differently than all the other characters for a different effect. I think my favorite scene is where Miles is like “people keep telling me what to do. Nah, I’m gonna do things my way” because typically it’s expected for a hero to be completely and utterly selfless, and he kind of wasn’t in this moment, but also, the bigger thing is that he didn’t let himself be limited by the options other people gave him. I find that in a lot of medium, the characters act like they only have two choices, but they have to choose the “right one” which kind of always frustrated me because I feel like you’re only limited by your ability to think of solution I love coming of age stories, and Stephen King adaptions, great performances from River Phoenix and Will Wheaton plus narration from Richard Dreyfuss, obviously the song "Stand By Me" from Ben E King is such an important part of the film and is very meaningful, I also love how they're able to capture the setting of late 1950s Oregon and the simplicity of life as a preteen boy in that time Cinematography at the beginning (up on the mountain) and at the end (also on a mountain but a different scene). Music, talent and romantic rainy gazebo scene
better choices. So I really like how Miles was like, nah, I’m gonna make my own path, and you can’t decide that for me. Very inspiring The soundtrack and the overall movie plot was amazing. I felt so connected to the character as a black woman who worked for what she wanted! The story line.. love story and her suffering from dementia… scene when she remembers but then loses her memory and gets agitated. When they medicated her and Noah was devastated. At the end, they leave this world together The Story, The Music, Innocence, Love, Happiness So perfectly casted, start of an epic series It’s a time, a feeling, the way I grew up. Brat pack!! Just love the story line and the acting Favourite since childhood Love the storyline, suspense, old fashioned dress I moved the book and, although it’s an old movie, it’s timeless The music, the story, the scenery near water, has a great score and I like the character Hooper. Martin Brody also reminds me of my DadI love the songs in the movie All time great love story I can go on forever but in short, I love everything about it. Incredible acting, music, memorable scenes and more deeply explored the Star Wars world and ideas which I already love. (Especially Yoda training Luke stuck with me most of all) Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck give outstanding performances. The City of Rome is a character itself Bop music, iconic characters The story All of the near misses, where the couple (played by Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan) could have met but didn't. You just wanted them to meet each other & fall in love! Story and Matt Damon and Ben affleck Every scene is great The whole move make me laugh The entire movie makes me laugh Music, girl empowerment, impact on my childhood It is a very fun movie The scope, grandeur and human emotions that play out against a detailed and compelling plot It is an ‘old Hollywood’ movie in black and white starting the amazing Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. So many famous quotes “here’s looking at you kid” and “Of all the gin joints in all the towns…” Adds together history with romance and suspense The whole movie , characters and how they act The plot Historical info, scenery, music, love story, family Bill Murray is Hysterical so is Richard Dreyfus The twist The portrayal of the westward movement from the perspective of the Native Americans was poignant. It had everything- beautiful cinematography, adventure, conflict, history, romance, animals, and more. I could watch it a million times Italian Heritage The music is crazy cool, I also rlly like the story of my nuke guy really ascending to godhood in a way and how that’s portrayed , and I love the complex justification that “we have to do it before they do”! And that one scene in the conference room is badass costuming, the actors, etc. I particularly love the soundtrack, as it is filled with late 90s female musicians, which I feel like shaped a lot of my music taste today. I also enjoy the way in which the film employs "camp," through its brightly colored scenic design and costuming. While camp is a queer concept, it is more commonly associated with queer male media, so it is exciting to see it employed in a lesbian film The way it looks is very pretty I was a teenager and had a crush on the characters and it had several dramatic moments that affected me (2 or the main characters died very traumatically) Not only did Tom Hanks did an amazing job acting. Just felt it is a powerful movie with a lot of meaning of life, love and family throughout the decades of his life. Also shows what a impact he made on others Nostalgic The cast, the way it was shot and the range of emotions you feel watching it It’s an annual tradition with my family to watch it Thanksgiving weekend to start the holiday season It's funny, colorful and a sweet love story It’s a great love story The mind blowing reveal when the detective realizes he let the guilty guy go when he sees the board behind him and drops his coffee cup. Also a great cast across the entire movie Carry Grant and David Niven are amazing playing a bishop and the angel sent to give him some guidance. It's a beautiful story told with humor and set around Christmas time. It manages to get its point across without feeling preachy I love the mystery, suspense and glamour of the era I love the music. The actors. The storyline
